Trading ideas: Abric, IJM, Tanah Makmur, SKPetro
KUALA LUMPUR: Abric, IJM Corp,Tanah Makmur and SapuraKencana Petroleum are among the stocks which could see trading interest on Wednesday.
JF Apex Research said on Wednesday Abric’s shareholders have approved the disposal of its core business of security seal production to UK company for RM146mil.
IJM Corp won a RM435mil contract from Sime Darby Sunrise Development Sdn Bhd for the construction of mixed development project named Radia in Bukit Jelutong.
As for AmanahRaya REIT, the group has decided to dispose of its Kontena Nasional distribution centre 11 in Klang for RM34m.
JF Apex Research said Tanah Makmur has received a Letter of Intent from Pahang state government for the new administrative complex in Kuantan.
SapuraKencana’s earnings jumped 41.8% to RM348.40mil in the third quarter ended Oct 31, 2014 from RM245.55mil a year ago mainly due to higher contribution from drilling and energy services segment.
In the nine months ended Oct 31, 2014, its earnings increased sharply by 73.8% to RM1.303bil from RM749.68mil in the previous corresponding period. Its revenue rose 16.2% to RM7.548bil from RM6.494bil.
On the external front, US and European markets closed down on renewed concerns on global economic outlook.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI index lost 2.74 points or 0.16% on lingering foreign selling pressure, the continued falling crude oil prices and the weakening ringgit.
“The local bourse could come under pressure today with the dismay performance of overseas markets and possibly test our immediate support level of 1,735,” JF Apex Research said.
