KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd is likely to list its telecommunication infrastructure services arm edotco Group Sdn Bhd on Bursa Malaysia within 12 to 18 months, says Head of Investor Relations and Group Strategy Senior Consultant Clare Chin.
“Most likely, it will be a local listing, but we have not finalised it yet,” she said.
She said edotco posted a revenue of RM1.2 billion last year with the average tenancy ratio at 1.5 times.
“So far, they have done a pretty good job in terms of improving cost efficiency across the group by saving two to three per cent of revenue in terms of land cost as well as rental cost,” she told reporters on the sidelines of the two-day 12th Invest Malaysia Kuala Lumpur (IMKL 2016) yesterday.
Chin said to date, edotco has 16,000 towers across South Asia and Asean countries.
On the Nepal market, Chin said Axiata is confident of registering a high single-digit growth for this year. — Bernama
