KUALA LUMPUR: The bullish sentiment for glove makers saw Top Glove, Hartalega and Kossan emerging among the top gainers in late afternoon trade on Thursday.

At 3.37pm, the FBM KLCI was up 6.55 points or 0.37% to 1,799.34. Turnover rose to 3.98 billion shares valued at RM2.21bil. There were 545 gainers, 356 losers and 470 counters unchanged.

The world's largest glove maker, Top Glove, jumped 78 sen to RM8.68 with 6.32 million shares done. The surge in its share price has given it a market capitalisation of RM10.92bil.



Top Glove is set to release its first quarter results ended Nov 30, 2017 next Tuesday and analysts are expecting a strong set of earnings.

Riding the strong bullish sentiment were Hartalega and Kossan. Hartalega added 38 sen to RM10.78 with 1.51 million shares done while Kossan gained 18 sen to RM20.20 with 200,900 shares traded.
