as always Unker Calvin gives good advice, I wonder if he found it all from Bible. Maybe I should try reading the Bible liao, just finished my Intelligent Investor

 

It started me thinking about his question

Yes, I want to share about this most INVESTMENT BOOK OF ALL BOOKS EVER WRITTEN

 

Written all over the Bible are Investment Advise. And I am happy to say I read the Bible first thing every morning.

I believe The Bible is the very Word of Almighty God. I believe in the Bible 100% completely. Every word of the Bible is true & tested by  centuries of experience by those who put their trust in it.

Now God already told people how to be successful

1) Joseph was a prosperous man in Egypt because God was with him

2) Joshua was successful because The Book of the Law was followed closely by him

3) King David in Psalms  chapter one gives us the example of a happy and successful person

 

So let us turn to Psalm Chapter One

 

Psalm 1 King James Version (KJV) (1611 AD)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

 

Above passage is from the KJV Translation (Original is from Hebrew/Greek/Aramaic)

of year 1611 (AD) Calvin's favourite Translation

I also have the Hebrew OT & the NT (New Testament) in Greek. And I also have more than 10 Other Translations of the Bible.

NOW THERE IS ONLY ONE BIBLE (GOD WROTE ONLY ONE BOOK)

Another more modern translation is NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Here is Psalm Chapter One

BOOK 1

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the a]path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by b]streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its c]leaf does not wither;
And d]in whatever he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.

Ok, let us now begin

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Blessed means "happy". And happy is the person who does not walk in ungodly counsel, who does not seek the praise or approval of sinners or those who cheat, con people and does not sit among people who scorn at the existence of God.

Verse 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

His happiness is found in reading the Bible. And he meditates on the wise, rich and life giving words of the Bible. 

Verse 3. He will be like a tree firmly planted by b]streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its c]leaf does not wither;
And d]in whatever he does, he prospers.

Verse 3 is where you find the "Golden Nuggets" of Investment Truths

The person who live his life based on the teachings & precepts of the Bible is like a tree firmly planted beside "STREAMS OF WATER" or in KJV "RIVERS OF WATER"
SO SUCCESS IS BY READING AND FOLLOWING WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES
AND THEN AS A NATURAL PROGESS THE TREE THAT RECEIVES MOISTURE & WATER CONTINUALLY BECAUSE IT HAS CONSTANT SUPPLY OF WATER FROM THE RIVER IT WILL FINALLY PRODUCE "FRUIT" IN HIS SEASON
A PERSON WHO KEEPS READING AND READING AND FOLLOWS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS WILL BE VERY SUCCESSFUL  IN HIS LIFE

Verse 4. And its c]leaf does not wither;
And d]in whatever he does, he prospers.

The Christian Life is not a One Off Thing. As Its Leaf does not wither. Many go to Sunday School or attend Church during Christmas Day. But never ever read the Bible
So he uses short cuts & ungodly methods in life & at best be mediocre. 
But the person who constantly read & does what the Bible says will have his leaf that does not wither or dry up.
And notice further
And d]in whatever he does, he prospers.

Ha! this is the secret. Somehow with the Blessings of Almighty God "whatever he does, he prospers"
That was why Joseph prospered in Egypt, Joshua conquered Canaan & Daniel prospered through 3 Kingdoms
And King David prospered in Psalm Chapter






Now let us apply this to real practical INVESTMENT ADVISE.
WATER ALSO SYMBOLISES MONEY. WHERE WATER FLOWS THERE IS LIFE

NOW WHEN MALAYSIAN GOVT ANNOUNCED THE ALLOCATION OF RM60 BILLIONS BUDGET FOR EDUCATION (THE LARGEST EVER) CALVIN TOLD YOU GUYS TO BUY SASBADI AT 21 SEN . SASBADI BY VIRTUE OF ITS BUSINESS OF PRINTING SCHOOL BOOKS WILL BENEFIT
BUT READ AGAIN

MONEY WAS ALLOCATED. BUT IT DIDN'T COME MUCH LATER. AND WHEN MONEY WAS FINALLY GIVEN IN NEW PROJECT AWARDS SASBADI SHARE PRICE FINALLY ROSE TO 28 SEN (UP 33.3% FROM 21 SEN)
NOW CALVIN THINKS THE JOB GIVEN IS STILL NOT MUCH (SOME MONIES WILL BE DIVERTED TO SCHOOL BUILDING & REPAIRS, SOME TO HELP POOR FAMILIES BUY BOOKS) SO BETTER DON'T CHASE SASBADI NOW

Calvin say you must compare Destini (timeline of Job awards) to Dayang (Time of Job Awards

Don't look at Destini current result which EPS is only 0.14 sen)

If you compare what happened to Dayang at the time of OGSE awarded to Dayang

Then your should look at Feb 2018 result for Dayang

And at that month of Feb 2018 Dayang's result was a horrible lost of

-5.62 sen (which is very bad compared to Destini now)
