Trading ideas: JCY, Tan Chong, UEM Sunrise, Maybank
KUALA LUMPUR: Hard-disk drive maker JCY International, Tan Chong Motor, UEM Sunrise and Maybank could see trading interest on Thursday following the release of their quarterly results, according to JF Apex Research.
The research house said other companies which could attract attention are Maybulk, Encorp, Icon Offshore, Prestariang, Padini and Kelington after the release of their results.
Overnight on Wall Street, the Dow and S&P 500 closed at record highs, as investors considered reports on manufacturing and housing in assessing the strength of the U.S. economy.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI extended its gains after rising 3.61 points to 1,842.17.
“We expect consolidation and sideways movement below the resistance of 1,860,” JF Apex Research said.
