KUALA LUMPUR (March 10): Bursa Malaysia said in a special announcement today that proprietary day trading (PDT) and intraday short selling (IDSS) for Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd securities have been suspended for the rest of the day as the last done price of the approved securities dropped more than 15% from the reference price.

“The short selling under PDT and IDSS will only be activated the following trading day, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 08:30am,” Bursa said.

At 10:33am today, Dayang fell 19 sen or 12.5% to RM1.33 for a market capitalisation of RM1.41 billion. The counter saw some 83 million shares traded.

Dayang’s PDT and IDSS remain suspended today following yesterday’s suspension.

Yesterday, Bursa said in separate special announcements that PDT and IDSS for several stocks including Dayang and Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd were suspended for the rest of the day as the last done price of the approved securities dropped more than 15% or 15 sen from the reference price.

Yesterday, Hibiscus hit limit-down after the stock closed down 30 sen at 41 sen.
