KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): MY E.G Services Bhd (MyEG) will be offering online renewal of motorcycle road tax and competent driving licence (CDL) in an expansion of services provided for the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
The group said the motorcycle road tax renewals will go live on its portal on Oct 9, while online renewals for CDL will commence on Oct 16.
“With the launch of the new services, users will also be able to access an array of related value-added offerings available on My EG’s portal for their added convenience and peace of mind, such as online motorcycle insurance renewal, as well as motorcycle road tax and CDL delivery services,” MyEG said.
A concessionaire for the government’s e-government services provision since 2000, MyEG has been a service provider for JPJ since 2007, and currently offers services such as the renewal of car road tax, summons checking and payment, computerised drivers’ theory testing and transfer of vehicle ownership.
MyEG said the latest offerings are timely given the current Covid-19 pandemic, as its online platform can provide JPJ-related services to customer without the need to leave the house, in line with social distancing practices.
MyEG shares finished one sen or 0.76% lower at RM1.30, valuing the group at RM4.67 billion. The counter saw 8.65 million shares transacted.
