WIDETEC (7692) WIDETECH (MALAYSIA) BHD undergoes change of company name

KUALA LUMPUR: Widetech (Malaysia) Bhd's change of company name to MyTech Group Bhd will be reflected on the stock exchange starting next week.

The stock exchange operator announced on Friday that the company's shares will be traded and quoted under the new name with effect from 9am on Nov 15.

The stock's short name will be MyTech while the stock number remains unchanged.

As at 12.30pm, shares in the company were trading unchanged at RM5.46 apiece on the back of 152,900 units exchanging hands.

The company's core businesses include consumer products, the manufacture of precision springs, hotel operations and the provision of financial and management services for gaming.

It made its debut on Bursa Malaysia on March 18, 1997, and has a current market capitalisation of RM245.18mil, based on Refinitiv data.
