KUALA LUMPUR (June 12): Tropicana Corp Bhd is unveiling its mega master plan — Tropicana WindCity — located in Genting Highlands on June 16.

This project will encompass three township master plans that will take up a total of 596 acres, making the developer the second largest landowner in Genting Highlands.

According to the company's deputy chairman — property development division Lee Han Ming, the three township developments will be the 112-acre Tropicana Grandhill, the 308-acre Tropicana Paradise and the 176-acre Tropicana Avalon.

In conjunction with the unveiling of Tropicana WindCity, the developer is also unveiling Phase 1 of Tropicana Paradise, which will feature an entertainment hub with 2.5 million square feet of space that will feature a one million square foot retail space, indoor water and dry theme parks, a convention centre, indoor snow and ski park, and an aquarium, among others.

There will also be six towers that will contain 5-star hotels and branded residences. The developer's managing director of marketing and sales Joanne Lee says they are looking for operators for the hotels and branded residences and further details will be revealed once negotiations have been completed.
