KUALA LUMPUR (July 9): Based on corporate announcements and news flow today, stocks in focus on Friday (July 10) may include: UEM Edgenta Bhd, Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd, Advance Synergy Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd, Destini Bhd, UEM Sunrise Bhd, Sunway Bhd, AirAsia Group Bhd, Insas Bhd, AEON Co (M) Bhd, Jadi Imaging Holdings Bhd, KPJ Healthcare Bhd, Axiata Group Bhd and Omesti Bhd.

UEMS Solutions Pte Ltd (UEMS), a 97.46%-owned unit of UEM Edgenta Bhd, has secured contracts estimated to be worth up to RM284.02 million to provide hospital support services to Singapore Health Ministry’s restructured hospitals. The final value of the contracts is subject to actual manpower resources deployed, but is estimated to be no less than RM264.55 million.

Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2020 (4QFY20) fell 16% year-on-year to RM55.58 million versus RM65.87 million previously, despite posting 69% higher revenue of RM472.14 million from RM278.95 million, due to higher revenue from increased progress billings of its residential and industrial developments in Negeri Sembilan.

For full year FY20, the developer’s total revenue hit a record high of RM1.28 billion, an increase of 23% from RM1.05 billion a year ago, while full year net profit grew 7% to RM234.3 million from RM218.39 million previously. It declared a fourth interim dividend of 2.5 sen per share to be paid on Aug 7.

Advance Synergy Bhd is disposing of a piece of freehold land in Switzerland for 5.95 million Swiss francs (RM26.77 million). It expects to record a net gain of RM2.42 million following the disposal.

Yinson Holdings Bhd is selling a minority stake in its Brazil floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit to Japan's Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd (K Line) for US$49 million (RM209.45 million). The deal involves selling a stake of 8.5% to 10% in Yinson Boronia Consortium Pte Ltd (YBC) to K Line, through Yinson's indirect wholly-owned Yinson Acacia Ltd.

Destini Bhd has landed a contract from the Ministry of Defence to supply non-proprietary aircraft parts for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. It said it is one of 30 local companies identified by the Malaysian Government to receive the letter of award, which has a combined ceiling of RM121 million.

UEM Sunrise Bhd has launched the RM68 million Phase 1A of Senadi Hills in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on July 4 after receiving overwhelming responses from its online preview that took place last month. The Phase 1A comprises 112 units of garden homes and 70% was booked after the online preview.

Sunway Bhd said it is keen to integrate 5G technology into the 324-hectare one-stop city’s smart township solutions, which encompass Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), under the long-term partnership with Huawei and Celcom. It foresees “substantial revenue” contribution from the group’s tripartite collaboration.

AirAsia Group Bhd said it is confident of the continuation of its business despite an emphasis of matter by its auditor highlighting significant uncertainties for the low-cost carrier to continue as a going concern given the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The group said its business will be supported by actions undertaken by the governments of countries it operates in and the outcome of ongoing discussions with financial institutions and investors to obtain the required funding and implementation of management’s action plans.

Insas Bhd is planning to raise up to RM132.6 million from a renounceable rights issue of redeemable preference shares with free detachable warrants to repay its bridging loans. The issue price of the rights RPS are RM1 per share with dividend rate of 3.8% per annum and bearing a tenure of five years.

AEON Co (M) Bhd has announced that its managing director Shafie Shamsuddin and deputy managing director Hiroyuki Kotera have been appointed as managing director and deputy managing director respectively of AEON Big (M) Sdn Bhd.

Jadi Imaging Holdings Bhd is set to make its foray into the premium stationery segment as the exclusive distributor of the Nusign brand products, after signing an international commercial agency with Ningbo Deli Import & Export Co Ltd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Jadi Life Solutions Sdn Bhd.

KPJ Healthcare Bhd said it is looking at a gradual recovery in earnings towards the end of 2020 and 2021, barring any major second wave of COVID-19. The group said it is confident on the recovery of its bed occupancy rate, which fell to its lowest of 27% in April at the peak of the MCO, and has climbed back to 31% in May.

Celcom Axiata Bhd said it is ready to roll out its fifth generation (5G) technology service, pending the reallocation of the 5G spectrum bands by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. Its CEO Idham Nawawi said, the company has upgraded its core network to accommodate the new technology and that it is "just a matter of months" before the mobile operator's 5G service will hit the streets once the spectrum band is secured.

Omesti Bhd has launched a digital platform “OMESTI BR-IDGE” for business registry which can help digitise the manual process for the entire life cycle management of companies, businesses, partnerships and corporate intermediaries. BR-IDGE allows for the entire process for business incorporation, statutory compliance matters, revenue collection and other similar functions to be handled online.
