PETALING JAYA: The world’s largest glove manufacturer, Top Glove Corp Bhd is targeting for a listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange by next year.

Its chairman Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai said that the group is currently talking to bankers for the potential initial public offering (IPO) of Top Glove for the third time after Bursa Malaysia and Singapore.

“It's only a plan and we are talking to the bankers to see which is the most suitable method to go for listing in Hong Kong,” he told reporters after Top Glove’s result briefing on Thursday.

Lim pointed out that the listing in Hong Kong is to expand the company presence and be more visible to the global market.

“We always dream big, do big and achieve big. That is a bigger market and we always look for higher value add in a bigger market.

“Hong Kong stock exchange is 10 times bigger than Malaysia or Singapore. It is a bigger market and we always look for higher value add in a bigger market,” he said.

Top Glove is currently the second most valuable stock on Bursa Malaysia after Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank).
