致力维护员工福祉 ATA工业有信心通过ESG审计
(吉隆坡7日讯)陷入剥削劳工事件困扰的ATA工业(ATAIMS,8176,主板工业股),发表声明回应路透社的报道,并强调公司始终致力维护员工福祉。
ATA工业同时声明,计划于12月展开企业社会责任(CSR)和环境、社会与监管(ESG)审计。
“公司预料可以通过此次审计,以验证在此领域的努力。”
路透社是于本周一(6日),发布题为《戴森(Dyson)与大马供应商解约,引发对外劳待遇的担忧》的报道。
ATA工业今日分5点,即1)员工加时工作、2)工作准证、3)对工厂员工下指示、4)举报政策,以及5)前员工的指控,逐一回应路透社的报道。
针对员工加时工作的事项,文告强调,ATA工业严格遵守大马劳工法令,即每月正常工日最高仅可工作104个小时。
“如果员工加班,那完全是出于自愿的。”
文告还指,公司已开始实施周日零加班政策,“不幸的是,这导致近300名本地与外国员工,于12月的第一周辞职。”
针对第2点,ATA工业强调,所有工作场所员工都持有有效的工作准证。
“公司和其他同行,在管控令期间都面临工作准证的问题,因为当时政府单位的运作能力有限。”
第3点则是针对路透社引述ATA工业员工的指控,称主管指导员工如何应对审计师,关于工作环境的提问。
文告强调,公司共聘请了222名主管,各司其职,以确保各部门的顺利运行及员工的身心健康。
“路透社的报道中,只有一名主管参与了一次非常罕见的事件,即指导员工如何对审计师说话。”
该公司强调,这并非公司政策,并严肃看待此违规行为,以及采取了补救措施。
针对第4点,即举报政策,ATA工业强调已经充分向员工宣传,多种语言的,并由获得人力资源部支持的独立第三方外部举报渠道。
“公司声明,这些投诉之前并未通过这些渠道提出。”
而针对路透社11月25日报道,指一名外劳受到虐待一事;ATA工业指,柔佛警方已经声明,并未收到任何公司员工受虐待的投报。
“公司也聘请了律师事务所作独立审计;审计结果显示,上述工人的指控是不合理和没有根据,而且不太可能发生的。”
